To be an intern, you have to be in school. Film Production Interns have to be in either Communication, or Film Production. I currently take Communication at the University of Windsor (Ontario love my brotha!!) but am on a leave right now to do this. I’m the first intern to be from another Country which is cool, but they give Canada some shit. Most other interns attend school here in NYC. Schools such as NYU, FIT, and others I have no idea about. Rich Piepho goes to University of CT and sleeps at a buddies house half the week in the city.
As for the faces you see the most, Dan took film stuff at Syracuse University (watch his thesis film if you haven’t) and started at CH as the receptionist for a month and a half. He then weaseled his way into being a writer by writing a million articles and bugging everyone in the office.
Streeter went to Fordham University and studied Comm. He’s also considered one of the founding members of the website as he has been here nearly the longest, and will beat you up if you say otherwise.
EDIT: My last fact about Streeter is super incorrect, people like to tell me wrong information apparently. But he’s been here a long time, let’s just say that.
Jeff went to Penn State and took Advertising where he wrote humorous articles for the school’s magazine or newspaper (something like that). He started as an Intern here and has just stuck around ever since.
Sarah went to Wake-Forest in North Carolina with Caldwell. Sarah took Comm and I have no idea about Caldwell, but I’m sure it was something like Visual Arts.
David Young went to Harvard Law and then to Medical school (he might be lying to me though on account of he only went to Syracuse with Dan).
Vinny, Creighton the Producer, and Matt Pollock the Director all went to SVA together.
Sam Reich is the coolest because he dropped out of High School and is now President of Original Content. Stickin it to the man.
The others aren’t really sitting near me at the moment or I’m too scared to talk to them. Hopefully that’s good enough as I got laughed at for being a horrible reporter. I TAKE COMM!! WHAT DO YOU EXPECT!!
